In November, our Fly Tying Chair, Ken Prager, assisted us in tying a fly which targets bass, a freshwater species.
As water is cooling, bass become aggressive to take advantage of the food available. Fly anglers know that they need to match the hatch for baits typically used by baitcasters. I recently met a fly fisher while fishing a Disney pond in one of their properties in Orlando. He showed me this pattern which brought a brace of fish to hand. I will have all the materials available to tiers that attend the session on November 18, 5:00-7:30pm at the PRSF classroom. See you there.
