Fly Patterns

A historical review reveals that basic fly tying methods have not changed dramatically from the mid-19th century to the present. Most changes resulted from the introduction and adaptation of new materials, especially synthetics, and new hook designs. Tying artificial flies has always been about successfully imitating something which attracts the fish to strike. The patterns included here have been proven successful while fishing the unique waterways of the Low Country.
