The Sea Island Fly Fishers have always had a strong and steady commitment to our local fishing community. It has come to our attention that the Beaufort County Council’s Public Facilities Committee is proposing ordinance amendments to waterways that may severely impact the use of public launching ramps by our local guides. We believe that all members of the community should be aware of the proposals and should have an opportunity to voice their opinion.

The deadline for public comment is Sunday, October 19. The next Public Facilities Committee meeting will be Monday, October 20, at 4 p.m. in the 2nd Floor Meeting Room, Arthur Horne Building, 104 Ribaut Road.
