Membership Meeting – October 16th
Our next meeting will be held on Wednesday, October 16th, 2024. The meeting will be held at the Bay Street Outfitters, 825 Bay Street, Beaufort, SC. Prior to the meeting, at 5 PM, bring your rods and join Tony Welch, owner of the Bay Street Outfitters, in a casting workshop to be held in the Waterfront Park adjacent to Bay Street. Tony will be providing demonstrations, instruction, and tips on casting as well as discussing the latest equipment.
The meeting will begin at 6 PM. The agenda includes a social hour with refreshments, food, and a cash only raffle followed by our speaker:
This month, we are honored to have Andrew Bridges, President and CEO of Nemours Wildlife Foundation as our speaker. Andrew is an avid Hunter and fisherman who once caught fish in the gulf of Mexico and in the pacific ocean on the same day. His academic achievements include a B.Sc. in Environmental Science from the University of Florida in 1997, a M.Sc. in Wildlife Science from Texas A&M University in 1999, and a Ph.D. in Wildlife Science from Virginia Polytechnic Institute and State University in 2005. Andrew served as Program Director & Research Scientist with the Institute for Wildlife Studies from 2007–2022. He took on his present role as President & CEO of Nemours in 2022.
