Membership Meeting – September 18th

The meeting will be held at the Bay Street Outfitters, 825 Bay Street, Beaufort, SC between 6 PM and 8 PM.  The agenda includes a social hour with refreshments and food, followed by our speaker.

This month we’re excited to introduce Capt. Kelsey Dick from Charleston, SC as our speaker.  Capt. Kelsey grew up spending the summers on the coast of North Carolina. There, she learned everything from fishing, cast netting, clamming, crabbing, fly fishing, and more. She knew at a young age fishing was a way for her to immerse herself in the outdoors and natural world.  Her passion for fisheries led her to pursue a bachelor’s degree in biology and a Masters in Fisheries Conservation and Management, specializing in recreational fishing. She continued to pursue a career in recreational management by working for the federal government at the South Atlantic Fishery Management Council. She moved further to the recreational side by working in the private industry for Shimano and G. Loomis, creating and marketing the best fishing products in the world. Last year, she founded The Beardless Fisher Inshore Charters because of her passion for fishing and the outdoors and passing that love onto others. She looks forward to teaching guests about sustainable fishing and how to be a good environmental steward, all while you obtain the skills to catch the fish you desire.

Plan on attending! Membership meetings are a great place to learn about your fishery and to mix with your fellow club members. Guests are welcome!
