SIFF By-Laws

The Sea Island Fly Fishers was incorporated in 1996 as a non-profit corporation under the laws of the State of South Carolina. Corporate By-Laws are the written rules that control the internal affairs of an organization. Thoroughly written By-Laws help organizations know how to handle new situations or issues that may arise. By-Laws can save time trying to work out organizational complications, help define missions or goals, and help keep things running smoothly.

From time to time, it is not uncommon for By-Laws to be reviewed and amended to reflect the direction of the organization as it evolves.

During the month of July 2025, the SIFF Board of Directors met and agreed upon changes to the present By-Laws (adopted February 15, 2023). These proposed changes were voted upon by the Board of Directors utilizing electronic means. With an affirmative vote of over 2/3 of the Board members, the proposed By-Laws were approved on July 14, 2025. A downloadable copy of the adopted By-Laws can be viewed below:
