Membership Meeting – May 15th, 2024
The meeting will be held at the Bay Street Outfitters, 825 Bay Street, Beaufort, SC between 6 PM and 8 PM. The agenda includes a social hour with refreshments and food, followed by our speakers.
This month we welcome Capt. Shannon O’Quinn who will present “Tarpon on a Fly Rod”. Shannon, a certified casting instructor with Fly Fishers International, has been a full time fishing guide for 10 years, 8 of which have been with Bay Street Outfitters. He started fishing the low country and surrounding areas about 16 years ago, but most of his time has been spent around the Port Royal Sound. Over the years he has targeted about everything that swims out there at some point. Shannon says that his favorite time of year to fish is summer and adds, “It’s hot, but I like the variety you may run across that time of year, tailing reds, triple tail, top-water action, and of course tarpon.”
