Membership Meeting – January 17, 2024
The meeting will be held at the Bay Street Outfitters, 825 Bay Street, Beaufort, SC between 6 PM and 8 PM. The agenda includes a social hour with refreshments and food, usually followed by our speaker.
This month, we are fortunate to have Matt Perkinson as our speaker. Matt has worked with the South Carolina Department of Natural Resources (SCDNR) for 17 years and is currently the Saltwater Fishing Outreach Coordinator of the Marine Resources Division. Matt began his career in research, working in stock enhancement and fish tagging before transitioning into outreach and education five years ago. He and his staff run fishing education programs, the Marine Game Fish Tagging Program, and in general provide information from SCDNR scientists and fisheries managers to the recreational fishing community. He lives in Charleston with his wife and two kids and spends as much time on the water chasing fish as they will allow.
Plan on attending! Membership meetings are a great place to learn about your fishery and to mix with your fellow club members. Guests are welcome!
