Membership Meeting – May 17, 2023
The meeting will be held at the Bay Street Outfitters, 825 Bay Street, Beaufort, SC between 6 PM and 8 PM. The agenda includes a social hour with refreshments and food, usually followed by our speaker. Meetings are open to members and guests.
This month we are pleased to feature John Mathews as our speaker! John, a long time SIFF member and creator of the Marsh Sense Clinic is a veteran wade fisher who, backed with ten years of experience and over 500 wades into the salt marshes of Beaufort County, will present “Finding and Learning a Wadable Tidal Marsh”. John will explain a myriad of tools to help you wade the marshes safely and effectively including Google Earth, Bing maps, and Map Quest as well as online resources for tide, wind, and weather information. He will discuss wading gear, equipment, and proven fly patterns while providing local knowledge of suitable wading areas. This presentation is not to be missed!
