Membership Meeting – March 19th

The meeting will be held at the Bay Street Outfitters, 825 Bay Street, Beaufort, SC between 6 PM and 8 PM.  The agenda includes a social hour with refreshments and food, followed by our speakers.  Don’t forget, there will be a casting workshop prior to the meeting.  Arrive at BSO at 5:00 PM to attend!

This month we welcome Captain Danny Rourke.

Captain Dan focuses on redfish, trout, tarpon, and Cobia on fly, bait, and artificial lures. Born and raised in Beaufort, he has been a charter captain for 25 years. Captain Dan was the Chairman of the Low Country Chapter of the CCA (Coastal Conservation Association) for 15 years and is a current board member , he is a past President of the Beaufort Sport Fish and Diving Club, and has won the RFA Redfish Tournament event held on Hilton Head Island, SC.

The first half of my career I fished a flats boat. I now fish a 24 ft bay boat and yes if you can work around a Ttop we can throw the fly rod. I fish all over, however I spend the majority of my time in Broad River chasing redfish, trout, cobia and tarpon.  – Capt. Dan
