Fly Tying Event – March 18th

The Sea Island Fly Fishers will be holding a fly tying “Expo” at the Port Royal Sound Foundation’s classroom on Saturday, March 18th between 9:30 am and 12 noon.
This event is the kickoff event to restart SIFF’s fly tying program. It is open to everyone interested in flies, tying flies, the art of fly tying, fly fishing, fishing the Lowcountry via wading or boating. Noted and experienced members of SIFF and the Lowcountry fly fishing community will be demoing the tying of various effective fly patterns and sharing other skills you’ll need to fly fish the Lowcountry.
Local and guest tiers are welcome to demo their favorite salt or freshwater pattern. All of the fly fishing community is welcome! This free event is open to everyone! We hope to see you there!
The Port Royal Sound Foundation campus is located at 310 Okatie Hwy, in Okatie, where S.C. 170 crosses the Chechessee River.
